Another fact is that the need for blood is rising exponentially. Apart from accident cases, there are some life-risking diseases like Thalassemia where patients need fresh blood at regular intervals to survive. The ground reality in India is that India faces a shortage of about 3 million blood units.

However, this shortage can be overcome if we come forward and donate blood for good cause- saving someone's life. A single unit of blood can help in saving 3-4 lives.

Sri Jagannath Charitable Trust is making some considerable efforts to make bridge this gap by conducting various Blood Donation Camps across Kendrapara region in Odisha. The trust offers free help and works to help the needy and the poor.

Since its establishment, Sri Jagannath Charitable trust has grown to a great extent and today has a 360-degree approach to make sure that there is a continuous supply of blood in the blood banks.

The trust makes sure that regular blood donation campaigns are held to bring awareness and ensure unbreakable supply of blood for blood banks.

Extreme measures are taken by the trust to make sure that the blood collected during the blood-donation camps is fit for usage. All the campaigns and camps are fully transparent and dedicated to the cause of saving lives.

Steps are taken at every level to connect youth to the cause and build a strong network of helping hands.

The trust also runs 24*7 emergency helpline to assist those who are in dire need.
